Royal’s strategy begins with Building People, and as HR Director, Erika and her team are integral to helping create an engaged and trained workforce. From implementing fun and instructive onboarding programs for new employees, to ensuring our benefits and compensation packages are generous, to creating performance management systems that provide valuable feedback and goal setting for every team member, Erika works hard to make sure the experience is a good one for Royal employees.
Prior to joining Royal in 2020, Erika spent twelve years providing Human Resources leadership and administration to other contractors in the industry. Her passion is to foster clear communication and accountability between employees and leaders, often facilitating conversations and advocating for each to achieve desired outcomes. Erika believes in strengthening employee engagement and aligning people strategy and processes through HR functions, training, talent acquisition and development, performance management, labor compliance and payroll support services.
Erika believes that HR is a key department to supporting company strategy and helping operations teams best serve our clients.
Erika holds a BS in Business Administration from CSU Stanislaus as well as certifications in SHRM-CP and HRCI-PHR. Both certifications have helped her to advance her career and be more effective with strategic business initiatives, ensuring that as business evolves, HR meets business needs.
Outside the office Erika enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids and boxer at any body of water they can – ocean, lake, river, or pool.
