The One Subaru of Hayward Project involved the construction of a new 57,000 sq. ft., two-story, Subaru dealership on an approximately 215,000 sq. ft. site in Hayward, CA. The facilities include a showroom as well as parts and service areas. The showroom is a steel structure with storefront glazing and metal panels, while the service area is a concrete block made (CMU) structure. Since the main development is situated below a steep slope and next to a fault line, site work included construction of a large retaining wall along with paved areas for vehicle display and parking.

Royal Electric’s scope of work included providing a complete new electrical system for the building as well as site electrical. For the building’s electrical system Royal crews installed switchgear, panels, breakers, light fixtures, components, circuits, devices, conduit/raceways, boxes, cable trays, wiring, motion sensors, dimmers, etc. Site electrical included all conduit, pull boxes and wiring for power and lighting, parking lot lights, concrete bases for lighting poles, exterior receptacles, power for 14 EV chargers, etc.
