Paul started his career with Royal as an apprentice electrician, and over the years has moved into several other roles including project management and estimating.  This balanced background of field, project management and estimating, allow Paul to see a conceptual project to completion and build a comprehensive estimate for our customers.  Paul believes in building genuine relationships with the client teams we work with, and frequently engages them to have fun both in and out of the office.  As Chief Estimator he developed a team structure that pairs senior estimators with their junior counterparts, to facilitate mentoring and development of the team.  In his role, Paul focuses on how our Royal team can truly add value for our clients during the estimate phase, along with a smooth transition during preconstruction to our project management teams. He’s also known for his shenanigans around the office!

In addition to being a certified journeyman, a certified Title 24 acceptance testing technician and employer, Paul gives back to the industry through volunteer efforts.  He currently serves as Sacramento Regional Builder’s Exchange (SRBX) CREATE board member, with the goal of recruiting young people into successful careers in the construction industry.  In the past he also served as an ACE Mentor at local Sacramento high schools, an afterschool program designed to teach students about careers in the Construction, Redevelopment, Engineering, Architecture, Trades, and Education industries.

Paul built his own home for his wife and two kids, has served as a volunteer wrestling coach for a local high school for several years, and helped create a youth wrestling program with the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Parks and Recreation Department in 2013.  He is a fan of the 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Sacramento Kings.
