The project includes construction of Taxiway R which is the first taxiway in the United States to accommodate the Airbus A380 without Airfield Operations escort.

Challenges Faced During the Job and Royal’s Solution
Opening Taxiway R May 26, 2010. Without acceleration which required double shifts, 7 days per week, originally the schedule showed the taxiway opening June 25, 2010. The owner was extremely pleased with our efforts and the early taxiway opening ceremony was a big media event.
