Automated People Mover

Sacramento International Airport

Sacramento, CA

Royal Electric provided medium and low voltage power, control and data cabling for the dual-lane shuttle system which will be the primary passenger connector between the new landside Central Terminal B building and the new Airside Concourse building. The project required a high level of security clearance, badging and testing for which Royal was able to meet and fully comply.

Project Highlights

Royal was also responsible for installing the 2,200 feet of power track for two ‘People Mover’ vehicles which Royal Electric lifted and set on the systems guide way at the completion of our contract.

There were (3) electrical contractors working concurrently on this project completing the Landside Ticketing Building, the Airside Terminal Building and Royal Electric bridging the two with the Bombardier Automated People Mover. Royal Electric maintained a superbly professional working relationship with each of the adjacent Big Build contractors and had the owner’s commenting at the close of the project that not only was there never a problem, there was never even a cause for concern.
