For more information on our hiring process please see the details below. ![]() Potential CandidateAny person who wants to be considered for an exciting career at the best and most diverse electrical contractor in Northern California. Pre-Applicant InformationBasic information collected about you including contact info, a brief work history and a self-assessment of your skill level. The information we are looking for varies depending on the position. The links at the left will take you through the pre-applicant information process that best suits your skill set and the position you wish to be considered for. Please be thorough when filling out this information and when attaching any additional information. Our superintendents and managers carefully review this information when looking for potential people to be considered for an open position. Recruiting DatabaseThe information collected from you goes into our recruiting database. This is a database of our past employees, employee referrals, applicants and pre-applicants. This database is what we search when looking to fill an open position and determines which people will be brought in for an interview. Because the information that is contained in this database is used as the initial selection criteria for our hiring process it is important that your information accurately reflects your skills. If you have submitted information to us previously but have gained experience, added certifications or changed contact information it is important that you submit new information. Recruiting Database ReviewApproximately every two weeks our superintendents and managers review the database looking for electricians, apprentices, laborers, operators, wireless technicians and other positions that would be a good fit for our team. Interview ProcessAt this point you will be invited in for an interview with one or more of the hiring managers. If this is your first time with Royal Electric and you have only submitted your pre-application information up until this point you will be asked to fill out a more detailed application which will provide more information about yourself, your work history and educational history so the interviewers will have more to discuss with you. If you were a prior employee or have been through the interview process before for another opening you will not have to fill out the applicant information again and may or may not be asked to go through another interview. The interview is the time which we can really get to know you and get a feel for how well you would fit in with our team. If for some reason the fit isn't exactly right the information from the interview will go back into the recruiting database for review again in the future or for another opening. Conditional Employment OfferBased on the results of the interview process we may make a Conditional Employment Offer which will include your base wage or salary associated with the position, the benefit package(s) available for that position and any other items that may be part of your employment package. This offer is conditional upon (1) you accepting the terms of the offer, (2) passing of the drug & alcohol test and (3) agreeing to and completing the hiring package of paperwork.
